Meet the founders.

Jason and Justin Jung Co-Founders, Jersey Natives, Brothers.

We co-founded Garfield in 2025 with a simple goal: to fix the headache of HOA living.

The idea was born when Jason moved into his first condo and immediately faced the frustrations familiar to so many homeowners: outdated paper processes, confusing forms, unmodern dashboards, and the nagging question, “Where is my HOA money going, really?”

Justin, coming from a finance background, recognized that HOA communities are a hugely underserved niche trapped in legacy software. We realized the industry was backward: managers were often rewarded for high rates and inefficiency, while homeowners paid the price.

We are doing things differently. Our mission is to provide a white-glove management experience that is accessible to everyone. By powering highly capable managers with modern technology, we cut out the bloat. Our full-stack approach means our software continuously adapts to meet our communities’ needs—resulting in faster responses and greater transparency, at a fraction of the cost.

We are New Jersey born and raised (we grew up getting off at the Westwood stop on the Pascack Valley line), and our family has a rich history of operating businesses right here in the Garden State.

We believe New Jersey has so much to offer in its people, diversity, nature, and food. There is no place like home, and we believe this is the right place for Garfield to take root. Our ultimate goal is simple: to make living in New Jersey easier, more affordable, and better for everyone.

Our Principles

Fairness Over Fees.

Traditional management models are often incentivized by inefficiency—charging you extra for every letter sent and board meeting attended. We reject the "nickel-and-dime" culture. Our goal is to solve problems permanently and keep your costs predictable, rather than monetizing your community's inefficiencies.

Automate the Bureaucracy,
Humanize the Service.

We use modern agentic technology to handle the chores—compliance filings, bill payments, and forms—faster and with fewer errors than any human. By letting software handle the data, our managers are freed up to respond to you immediately with the attention you deserve.

Transparent by Default.

We founded this company because homeowners shouldn’t have to fight to see where their HOA dues are going. We believe that financial clarity is a homeowner's right, not a privilege. That is why we don't wait for you to ask—we provide open, real-time access to every invoice, budget line, and bank transaction from day one. If we see it, you see it.

Treat Neighbors like Neighbors.

Behind every unit number is a person’s home and their investment. That drives us to communicate with empathy and speed, refusing to hide behind "policy" or "office hours" when things go wrong. We show up, we listen, and we act—just like a good neighbor should.
